Hello world! How’s Your Money Situation? Mortgage & Credit Card Situations?

Hello world!   How’s Your Money Situation? Mortgage & Credit Card Situation?

Well, I always say even if you don’t know how it’s going to turn out that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t begin so here I am again trying something I know nothing about: blogging.  Wish me luck.  If you have happened upon my page via invitation or chance, I say, Thank You and Welcome!

The reason I started this blog is because we have lost our financial compass as a country.  We used to be a nation of economic strength but now we are on the brink of ruin because we have lost sight of the keys to wealth: discipline and saving.  We have become an economy of consumers and because of this voracious appetite, we have landed in great distress, putting at risk not only our own financial futures but our children’s as well.

One of my favorite books is called “The Richest Man in Babylon” and it speaks of an era when all folks who lived in the city of Babylon were savers and because of this there was massive wealth throughout the lands.  No rich and poor class but all luxuriated in the wealth of the economy.  It was because they all learned how money works.  They learned to pay themselves first, to save for their futures.  They learned to put their money to work for gain and would enjoy the fruits of the interest, never touching the principal.  I’d like to see this great country get back to that style of living, enjoying real wealth and prosperity, not borrowed.

Some of the most pressing and stressing topics of our current financial times will be touched upon here, discussed and critiqued.  I welcome your participation and feedback.

· Money Management Basics
· Setting Up a Budget
· Credit and Debt Management
· Improving Your Credit Score
· Saving and Investing Basics
· Retirement Planning
· Real Estate Investing
· Foreclosures, Short Sales, and Loan Modification “How-To’s”
· IRS qualified retirement and savings plans with minimum guaranteed interest rates (you will never lose money again, no matter what happens to the stock market or the economy)

It’s my desire to help families get back to the basics of financial success by returning to the fabled land of saving.  We can all harness this outcome by committing ourselves to fiscal responsibility.  I hope to help families achieve their dreams of sending their kids to college, taking regular family vacations, acquiring a second home and finally retiring comfortably and confidently through resourceful living.

That’s all for now, folks.  Thanks for dropping by.  Please visit the links on my blog if you are in a hurry to pursue those topics or call me for a brief consultation.

Wishing you health, peace & prosperity,

Megan McGinnis, Beginning Blogger
